Role Overview:

As a System & Cybersecurity Engineer, your primary responsibility is to manage the IT infrastructure and services for Belgium and Luxembourg. You’ll ensure the smooth performance and security of systems by monitoring the entire infrastructure, from the network to application servers. Utilizing a DevOps approach, you’ll manage service continuity for legacy systems while deploying new assets using tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Puppet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, implement, and test backup and restore procedures, taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Proactively monitor and manage the performance, integrity, availability, and accessibility of systems and services.
• Report infrastructure-related problems promptly and implement solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure topology (system, network, storage).
• Configure and maintain server templates and workstation images.
• Deploy and troubleshoot software packages and updates.
• Keep all assets updated and protected from vulnerabilities.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support and assist other IT teams in issue resolution and root cause analysis.

Required Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent knowledge, with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong networking knowledge (CCNA level), including switching and routing protocols, and firewall management.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS, along with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, Python, etc.
• Experience with automation software (Puppet, Terraform), virtualization (VMware), backup (Veeam), storage management (NetApp), and servers and blades management (Cisco UCS).
• Familiarity with cloud technology (Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Active Directory and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or IEC 62433.
• Holistic approach to projects with a strategic view and innovative problem-solving skills.
